The New Oxford Fire Company held their annual membership appreciation banquet on Saturday February 23rd, 2008. New to this year's banquet was the joining of New Oxford and Abbottstown Fire Companies to recognize their members together in a single event. This consolidation brought many additional faces to the event, including fellow firefighters and honored guests from local municipalities and mutual aid departments.

Activities for the evening included a fine dinner prepared by the Hampton Fire Company Volunteers, an awards ceremony, and dancing. The junior members of the New Oxford Fire Company presented the senior members with a gift of 6 various fire extinguishers to upgrade our current selection.

A special thank you goes out to those that served on this year’s banquet committee both from New Oxford and Abbottstown for making this banquet a great one.
