On Wednesday March 4th, at the meeting of the NOFC membership, the members voted on a name for the merged department. The new department will be known as: United Hook & Ladder Company #33

In an effort to keep all parties informed the merger committee has drafted the following press release for all agencies and members. Additionally, letters announcing the merger were e-mailed to all the municipalities to be served under the new company. They include:

• Abbottstown Borough
• New Oxford Borough
• Oxford Township
• Straban Township
• Mount Pleasant Township
• Berwick Township
• Hamilton Township
• Tyrone Township
• Reading Township
• Paradise Township
• Adams County Department of Emergency Services
• York County Department of Emergency Services

The merger committee has also appointed Public Information Officer Jeff Blystone to handle all correspondence relating to the merger.
